This page explains the nature and the limits of the services provided by
DEPSINT™ (“DEPSINT”, “we”, “us”). It applies to www.depsint.com and to
every report, analysis and communication we provide. Please read it together
with our Terms and
Conditions, Terms of
Use and Privacy
Policy.
analysis house. We provide deep source cyber intelligence and digital
intelligence that clients and their advisers use to advance their own
matters. We are not lawyers, we do not hold an investigative licence, we do
not conduct surveillance, and we do not recover funds.
1. What DEPSINT does — and does not do
DEPSINT performs deep source cyber intelligence and digital intelligence:
open and deep source research, digital footprint and asset analysis, and the
attribution of digital identifiers — such as email addresses, telephone
numbers, domains and social media accounts — to the people or entities
behind them. The output is research and analysis, delivered as a report.
DEPSINT does not:
- hold a private investigator, legal or other regulated professional licence,
and does not perform any act reserved to a licensed professional; - conduct physical or electronic surveillance, interception, or monitoring of
communications; - access accounts, devices, systems or data without authorisation;
- recover, repatriate or freeze money or other assets, and does not act as a
funds-recovery service; - provide legal, financial, tax, insurance or investment advice;
- act on your behalf before any court, regulator, bank, platform or law
enforcement agency.
What happens with our analysis is a matter for you and your own advisers.
2. No legal advice
Nothing on this website and nothing in a DEPSINT report is legal advice, and
no lawyer-client relationship arises from your use of this site or our
services. Laws differ between jurisdictions and change over time. You should
take advice from a qualified lawyer in the relevant jurisdiction before acting
on anything we provide.
3. No guarantee of outcome
Deep source research depends on the information available at the time the
work is performed, and on the identifiers and materials supplied to us. We do
not warrant or guarantee that:
- any subject will be identified or located;
- any particular result, recovery, prosecution, takedown or remedy will
follow from our findings; - data obtained from third-party or public sources is complete, current or
free from error.
Any indication of likely outcome, timescale or prospects is an opinion based
on experience, not a promise. Where confidence in a finding is limited, we
say so in the report.
4. Accuracy, sources and your responsibility
Our analysis draws on data from many external sources. While we apply
professional care and verification to our work, DEPSINT is not responsible for
inaccuracies originating in third-party or publicly available data.
Our findings are provided so that you and your advisers can make your own
informed decisions. You remain responsible for how our findings are used,
including any decision to contact, confront, publish about, or take action
against any person or entity. You must use our findings lawfully.
5. Lawful and permitted use only
DEPSINT services may be commissioned only for a lawful and legitimate
purpose. Our reports must not be used to harass, intimidate, stalk, threaten,
defraud, discriminate against, or unlawfully profile any person, nor for any
purpose prohibited by applicable law — including, where applicable,
consumer-reporting, employment-screening, tenancy or credit-related decisions
governed by specific legislation. We reserve the right to decline or
discontinue any engagement.
6. Website content
Content on www.depsint.com is provided for general information. It may be
updated or corrected at any time and is not a substitute for professional
advice or for a scoped engagement. Case examples and descriptions are
illustrative, are anonymised, and do not represent a promise of similar
results. External links are provided for convenience and DEPSINT is not
responsible for the content of third-party sites.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DEPSINT and its officers, employees
and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental,
special, exemplary or punitive loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data,
goodwill or opportunity, arising out of or in connection with the use of this
website, our reports, or our services. Further limitations are set out in our
Terms and
Conditions, which apply in full.
8. Confidentiality
Material you provide is used to perform the analysis you have commissioned
and for no other purpose. See our
Privacy Policy for how
personal data is handled.
